The company wanted to provide affordable housing to the soldiers coming home from the war. We recognized the consumers need for real estate services and the close tie to new home construction. World Wide Realty was opened to meet those needs.

In 1998, KB Home, a California based company purchased RAYCO and acquired World Wide Realty.

In 1999 when GMAC bought the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Franchise, we changed our name to Best Homes because it fl owed better with GMAC Real Estate and it put us closer to the top of the alphabet.
